Specification of Beaker Glass Pyrex volume 250 mL
Beaker Glass
The beaker glass function is a container that is used to stir, mix, and heat liquids. Beaker glasses are cylinders and are available in various sizes, ranging from 1 mL to several liters.
In conducting chemical experiments, always use a beaker (glass beaker) which serves to prepare the solution to be used, for the place of reacting substances in a large volume and to dissolve solids into liquid substances in the process of making a solution.
The beaker is different from the erlenmeyer flask which is visible from the side that is straight rather than tilted. Usually beakers are more often used in basic chemical experiments. The beaker can be closed with an observer glass to prevent contamination and shrinkage of substances. The beaker is often spiked with the size on the side of the beaker indicating the volume is accommodated.
For example, a beaker with a volume of 250 mL is marked with lines indicating the volume of the substance accommodated by 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 mL. The accuracy of this size varies greatly.
