Interbraid, Anti-Extrusion Packing for Slurry Applications

Chesterton 1740 is an interbraided packaging using DuPont ™ Kevlar® yarn with PTFE

and other lubricants. Each thread has been individually coated

to remove heat. 1740 can be installed as a full set to offer combined

resistance to pressure, temperature, chemicals and wear. 1740 braided packing

also used as a backup ring to increase extrusion resistance in abrasive applications.
